In Person. This experiential course introduces the basic principles, theology, literature, and ritual/spiritual practices of Judaism through discussions and exposure to traditional texts, contemporary readings, and real-life Jewish experiences. Become part of a strong, supportive, cohort-based community you will learn and grow with. Basics of Judaism is a great introduction to Judaism for those exploring conversion and an opportunity for those who grew up Jewish to learn what it's all about. Individuals and couples are all welcome to join. The class will include field trips and a Shabbat dinner at the JCC.

Rabbi Samantha Frank is the co-founder of @Modern_Ritual, an online destination for fresh, beautiful, Jewish living. She serves as rabbi and educator in several communities, including Sanctuary, Temple Micah, and the Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan.
